Dates, the very common fruit of Middle East specifically in Saudi Arabia , has vast importance just like the memorable & treasured “dates” with your loved ones, or the appointments / scheduled “dates” blocked from your calendars.
Those who worked in Saudi Arabia said that the tree grows and bear fruits in hot season, but of course, due to volume of harvest, and the perfect horticulture, the fruit is available in market everyday, be as fresh or processed.
Tea with Dates is the Coffee and Pandesal in Philippines. For me, I like the ripe one but others find it very good tasting when it is still half seasoned. I used to buy it, and remembered while my Mom and her friend is having coffee, I served to them and they like it. Mom’s friend commented they taste like “bukayong” sweet potato / kamote. But unlike pandesal, dates is more healthy food.
